Mark

Growing up, Mark enjoyed playing sports and pushed his body hard to be competitive. Without proper guidance, the intense training led to persistent aches and pains. Then he embarked on a journey to heal his body.

To develop his knowledge, he studied Kinesiology at University of Toronto and earned a diploma in Massage Therapy. Through working with a wide range of clients, he noticed that most of the aches and pains people experience stem from how we misuse our body in everyday life.

Still, he did not find a truly transformative solution to my own pain until he completed a yoga teacher training in India. Through practicing yoga, he developed a deeper understanding of the interconnections between different parts and layers of the body. Practicing simple yoga poses that counteract the repetitive movements of daily life can help restore the body’s natural balance. When the body is in balance, tension eases, and pain naturally dissipates.

Now, he feels his pains truly healing – layer by layer. He wants to help you create the same changes by practising the yoga poses with precision. You are never too stiff to start. You just haven’t found the right position to start. Mark will show you how.

From her work both as a music educator and classical singer, Alessia has an intimate understanding of the roles that both breath and alignment play in our yoga practice and in our lives more generally. Her classes weave in elements of breath-work, anatomy, and philosophy to help provide students with the tools to care for the whole self - body, mind, and spirit.

Alessia seeks to provide a welcoming environment for all in her light, gentle, and exploratory classes.

Claudia’s classes reflect the heart of yoga: whether grounding and meditative or playful and energizing, they are always centered in self-awareness, curiosity, and kindness.
